Thursday, June 17th, 2010Whitehorse Lab Receives ISO Registration
Acme is pleased to announce the ISO 9001:2008 registration of our sample preparation facility in Whitehorse, YK. The successful accreditation was achieved following an independent audit conducted by BSi Canada.
Implementation of our ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System, provides a standard framework of methods and procedures that is applied to all of our offices, ensuring consistency throughout our operations. Continued application of these ISO standards demonstrates our commitment to enhance client satisfaction as well as the inclusions of procedures for the continual improvement of our systems.
The management system registered at the Whitehorse facility is an extension of our Vancouver operation and will provide the same high quality sample preparation capabilities as those throughout our global network. Addition of the Whitehorse facility to the registration now means that all of Acme’s Canadian operations are ISO registered.

Monday, May 3rd, 2010New Manager for Yellowknife Facility
Acmelabs is pleased to announce and welcome Derrick Hill to his recently appointed position as Branch Manager for our new sample preparation facility in Yellowknife, N.W.T. Coming from Global Discovery Labs of Teck Ltd, Derrick brings with him three years of management in sample preparation and sample registration protocol. Following additional training at Acmelabs in Vancouver, Derrick has relocated to Yellowknife where he will ensure the same high standards for sample preparation and client service as those provided throughout our global network.
The recent ISO 9001:2008 certification of our Yellowknife sample preparation facility will certainly enhance our presence in the North West Territories. We are pleased to announce that our Santiago laboratory was recently recognised at the annual prize giving awards for the Chilean National Safety Council (ACHS). The award received was for outstanding achievement in the field of occupational health and safety. Mr. Nelson Bravo of ACHS presented the prize to Mr. Marco Romero of Acmelabs Chile. |

Acmelabs Chile has worked closely with ACHS over the past three years and is very proud of the association. New Sample Prep Lab in Medellin, Colombia

Our Medellin lab will serve our clients in Colombia. We will be providing preparation of rock, core and soil samples and then shipping via air freight to our Santiago and Vancouver labs for analysis. With this location we will be better able to serve our clients with increased capacity and faster turnaround. Regional ManagerGustavo Canizales joined Acme Labs in 2009, following a career of over 12 years in Mexico and Peru in the Metallurgical and Minerals Analysis businesses.  |

The new facility has extra drying and crushing capacity to meet the needs of this growing market. It will provide end to end sample tracking using our Acme Access system. The Copiapó lab will serve our clients in northern Chile. We will be providing preparation of rock, core and soil samples and then shipping to our Santiago lab for analysis. With this location we will be better able to serve our clients with increased capacity and faster turnaround. Branch ManagerRene Marin is a Qualified Analytical Chemist and has over 15 years of experience in the mining industry in Chile, having worked in laboratories, quality control and on-site locations.
