Assay labs race to boost capacity as exploration burgeons
Surging metals prices over the last two years have brought about a boom in exploration, putting pressure on drill rig suppliers and the mineral laboratories that test the core samples with companies having to wait longer than six months for assay results in certain cases. “January’s usually a bit of a lull, when everyone gets the house in order.
